An Early Spring…

The good weather recently has helped us get stuck into a lot of work around Letton the last couple of weeks. The doors around the Stable courtyard have all been stripped back and work done to repair the bottoms. This not only makes the courtyard look much nicer but will help to keep the rooms that bit warmer and weather …

A room with a view

At the end of last week we finished putting another fully restored window back into the Cambridge bedroom in the Hall. The view out from this bedroom over the fields is beautiful and its great to have it back unobscured, with a window you can open and close… although its a bit chilly to keep it open right now!

Even so, as we walk around the grounds of Letton Hall the damp decay and bare winter dress of the woodland is giving way to new signs of …

Tonka Toys at Letton

It has been a little while since we last blogged – but life has been rather full! After a long period of prayerfully exploring options for renewable energy, involving several false starts and some trips up blind alleys, we have finally embarked on the installation of a biomass plant for Letton Hall.  This is a large and expensive project, but …

Long distance volunteers!

It has been a delight to welcome some volunteers from New Zealand to Letton Hall recently! Calvyn and Alice Jonker, together with their daughter Claire have joined the team for two months, staying until the end of June.  It has been a joy to see how well the family have integrated with us – serving with such enthusiasm and generosity. Calvyn is …
